How can I make this cheap wireless adapter work better?
I got a Belkin Wireless g adapter and it doesn't connect very well when I first start the computer. Once I get it connected, it stays, but a few times I've had to reboot before it would connect. The router is only about 10 feet away. Is there a solution to this weak performance? I'm just about ready to go get my money back and find a better adapter.
Sometimes those cheap adapters work better if you install the latest version of the software that the manufacturer has available, rather than letting Windows try to control it.
See if you can find up-to-date software from Belkin to make your adapter work. Their website should have it available for download for free.
