Can an audio rca cable be used for a composite video cable?
I've tried connecting an audio rca cable from the composite video out on an old amiga and plugging it into the composite in on a tv but the whole picture is red and scrolls up and down. Not sure if there is a fault with computer or if it because of the cable.
Just to confirm, i'm talking about composite video here, whre you have 1 cable for video. Not component where where you have 3.

Red Blue Green video information-
Composite sync meaning both vertical and horizontal .
One pair RCA normaly left and right audio channels then will work fine so long as you get the video plug in the correct socket . of course you will only be able to carry mono audio.
