Rock Band Network is an exciting new platform for us bought by MTV Games and Harmonix, which will allow any band or artist to submit their songs on Xbox Live and make them play tracks in Rock Band 2 video game.
The network is planned to launch in mid-November and will bring a totally new way musicians to display their music for everyone to enjoy. Using special software recording, the musicians will be able to transform the song into a playable theme, upload Xbox Live, and allow anyone to download and play. Unfortunately, the actual authoring process is complex and not very accessible to the average musician not have extensive knowledge of recording.
The basic steps are:
1. Get a master multi-track recording of the song.
2. Singer-songwriter. This stage is where the song becomes a song audible at a playable track. It is the most time-consuming and important step in the process. The instrument mapping is done for each individual instrument difficulty.
3. Load song to the makers of the Club of peer review.
4. Once the song has passed peer review will be placed on Xbox Live for everyone to download and enjoy.
An Xbox Live Gold subscription and the XNA Creators Club account are needed to upload the song. The song must be placed on sale between $ 1 - $ 3.
Having songs in the video game Rock Band will allow musicians to get more exposure there and royalties for each song download there. Fans will be able to play these artists songs in the game video, offering a new way to experience music from there!
