basic fluorescent kit using car battery?
hello.. i need some help from u guys, i have a fluorescent lamp kit and the used car battery which is still function and i want to make it as my lamp in my small cottage since i dont have electricity there.. do i have to remove the choke in the fluorescent kit and use directly or replace the choke using the 12V (does it have?) please help me..
You need to use a 12V electronic ballast, or an inverter to provide 120V ( or 240V as the case may be) to power the fixture as-is.
I would go for the 12V ballast if possible, of not a few T8/12 RV lights, or even LED lights.
