Where can I buy a cord/adapter to connect my laptop to the tv?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 and when I'm watching a show/movie online it would be nice to watch it on a larger screen, like the tv. So where can I buy an adapter that will allow me to do this?
what would it be called because i'm on the Dell website now and idk what to look for?
