Can I transfer my hard drive data to a Memory Stick on the XBOX 360?
the HDD that came with 9GB on the regular xbox 360... i have saved games on ther, but i want to put that on a memory stick.. can i do it?

You can copy them to an Xbox360 memory card, but not a USB memory stick. Once you have a memory card in, you should be able to select the save file in memory, choose copy, then pick the memory card as the device. Many games tie their save game to a profile which means you won't be able to load the save game unless you are logged in as the profile that it was saved under.
If you are doing this just to make space, you might want to look into a bigger hard drive. Memory cards and the hard drives are both overpriced, but better to put the price of a memory card toward a hard drive even though it is a lot more. The 120GB hard drive comes with a cable and a disc that will transfer everything off your current 20GB hard drive onto it. (The 20GB only has 9GB free as some is reserved for other purposes)
If you are just wanting to take saves to a friend's house, a memory card should be fine. You can even keep your profile on it so you can log in from any 360 as long as your memory card is plugged in.
