Can a Playstation2 controller be used with both the fat and slim version?
I have a 'fat-version' PS2. I want to get a slim version.
Do I need to get new controllers? or are the controllers compatible with both versions?

Yes, in fact you can also use your PS2 controllers for PS3. You just have to get that $10 adaptor. My PS2 wireless controller (logitech) works perfectly with my PS3. The "connect" button even functions as the PS button..
