Faceplate Sealed
Are the marines in my novel too similar to the ODSTs in Halo?
I'm writing a novel about a fictional war in the future in space and the marines in my novel all wear atmospherically sealed armor that allows them to survive in space and under water. They also have tinted faceplates that completely obscure their face. There are a few other features, but I won't bore you with them. Anyway, are my marines too similar to the ODSTs in the Halo games. Keep in mind that these aren't just a few marines that look like this. It's standard issue so every single marine in my novel, even those fresh out of training, all wear this armor.
ODST were a special ops team if your whole army is suited up in this armor then its no big deal. they don't have ownership of armor, as long as you call it something else, plus theirs i dont think were atmospherically sealed, which is cool by the way.
