How many 40LB bag of top soil will cover?
If I get 100 of 40 LB bag of top soil, How much will cover? or how deep will cover?
It is not possible to convert a weight measure of pounds into an area measure of square feet. The weight of the soil is determined primarily by the amount of moisture present in the soil.
But a simple calculation can be made by laying the 40 pound bag on a flat surface and smoothing it down till the top surface is level. The area of the bag is the area it will cover to the depth noted in your observation of the bag depth.
From that observation it is a simple matter to estimate how many bags you will need at various depths to cover any given area.
