How do they do this from Portal?
Have you guys ever played portal? if you have, then watch this video, it's about the turrets working for GLaDOS.

I do have one question, how did they make this video.
I think it's a machinima. I know that to make some machinima, you have to use a capture card to capture the games onto your computer as videos, but how did make the turrets' lights blink to the music, and how do they change the camera angle. I don't think the turrets have hats in the games. I know some part of the video is from the game itself, like the first-person part, but how did they make the rest? How did they make the claw come down and grab the chip out of the radio, and then pan the camera to the turret and place the brain into the turret? many thanks
Here's my guess:
They took PC version of portal and copied all the files to their computer. They then opened the level maps in a 3D movie-making software (such as Lightwave or Maya) and reconstructed them (so that they included the two turrets and the other misc. items).
More answers:
>They loaded the model of the crane, so that they could manipulate it.
>The 3D program would allow them to pan the camera.
>They created a chip model, stuck it behind the radio, and made it appear it was being taken out (Same with the the turret, it doesn't actually go inside the turret, just behind it.)
