Is the wii sensor bar a scam or do you need it for the wii?
I was watching some videos on youtube and they said that you can use candles instead of the sensor bar is this true?

The IR on the end of the Wiimote reads the 2 LED lights in the sensor bar. It doesn't matter if it's reading the two LED lights in the sensor bar or two candles it will still work. This doesn't mean it's a scam however, the sensor bar is a very important part of the system.
To the person talking about "6 axis", the PS3 doesn't have IR we are talking about two different things here. Get a clue! And the Wiimote can be read from up to 50 feet away but who the hell plays from more then 10 feet away?
And to all the PS3 Homers that say get a PS3. What happened last month to your beloved PS3. PS3 sales last month were under 9K and the Wii sold 100K.
