Adapter Plug
Can an AC adapter plug from a laptop dock be of a diff. size than the laptop's entry?
I just got a laptop at work and the AC adapter plug that fits perfectly to the dock does not seem to fit the laptop itself. Is it possible they are of different sizes?
Yes, they can be different. It really depends on if you bought the two at the same time or if they are supposed to be together. Since there are so many laptops and docking stations and computers are constantly being designed a lot of older machines do not work well with newer machines or parts. Since the two aren't fitting I would think they are not made for each other. Brand names tend to work the best with the same brand name.
